Tasmanian LiFE Awards – 2025 Nominee

Outstanding Contribution LiFE Award

The Outstanding Contribution LiFE Award recognises individuals in Tasmania who work to reduce the rate and impact of suicide. Whether they are volunteers or working in paid positions, their efforts, insight, and initiative make our communities stronger and more resilient. They provide the necessary tools to those struggling with the idea that life is not worth living and support individuals and communities. They advocate for better services in suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.

Jodhi Gough

Jodhi is a counsellor, drum therapist, mental health trainer and more. Her desire to support the local community in North West Tasmania led her to open Collective Therapy Hub (The HUB). The HUB provides a safe, inclusive, and holistic space to address the growing mental health needs of the community. It offers counselling, yin yoga, drum therapy, mental health training and events.

Inspired by her professional experience and deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by North West Tasmanians, Jodhi set out to create a safe space where people would feel supported, connected, and empowered on their journey toward healing and growth. The HUB allows people to access a wide range of tailored supports in one welcoming and nurturing environment, fostering a sense of trust and accessibility. The HUB is designed to be a safe space for people to slow down, pause, and do things at their own pace.

Jodhi’s goal is to build a supportive community where mental health and wellbeing flourish. The HUB was founded on the belief that community and connection are fundamental to mental wellness. By creating a space where people feel valued and understood, Collective Therapy Hub not only helps people build resilience but also fosters a culture of belonging. The HUB continues to evolve to meet the needs of the North West Tasmanian community to inspire growth and healing.

The Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Community Network acknowledges that we live and work on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa/pakana people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay tribute to the Elders past and present and respect the collective ancestry that has brought us all here today. We honour all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories, and upholding rights.
