The Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Forum is a key annual gathering that brings together people from across the suicide prevention, mental health, and community sectors.

It is a space designed for connection, shared learning, and collective action – highlighting both lived experience and professional expertise to strengthen suicide prevention across Tasmania.

The purpose of the Forum is to:

  • Strengthen collaboration across sectors and regions
  • Elevate lived experience and community voices
  • Support practical action in suicide prevention across Tasmania

The Forum centres on a guiding theme that shapes conversations, presentations, and collaboration. The theme “From the Ground Up,” will continue into 2027, when the Forum moves to the north of the state.

This theme focuses on how hope, connection, and support are cultivated locally and nurtured through small, meaningful actions in our towns, neighbourhoods, and families. It highlights the strength of grassroots initiatives and the lived experiences that

It is also a space where ideas are welcomed and participation is encouraged, whether you are shaping the program, contributing as a speaker, or connecting through a trade table.
