Tasmanian LiFE Awards
The Winners for the 20th Annual LiFE Awards have now been announced – Check the gallery below
On Wednesday, 12 March 2025, the Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Community Network (TSPCN) celebrated the 20th Annual LiFE Awards, recognising excellence in suicide prevention across Tasmania.
The Tasmanian LiFE Awards acknowledge and celebrate the life-affirming work being done throughout the state to prevent suicide. While suicide prevention remains an ongoing need in Tasmania, these awards shine a light on the passion, commitment, and achievements of individuals and groups working in this challenging and incredibly important field.
The awards are based on the national LiFE Framework, which recognises that suicide prevention is a whole-of-community responsibility and encourages collaborative action by all Australians. LiFE stands for Living is For Everyone.
Suicide prevention was demonstrated in many different ways. Past nominations have included grassroots initiatives such as goat yoga to build community connection; workplaces prioritising employee mental health as a strategic focus; and crisis intervention efforts supporting individuals experiencing suicidality.
The awards celebrated the dedication and energy of the nominees, and their essential contributions to reducing suicide in our communities. Every nomination was a testament to the valuable work being carried out across Tasmania, highlighting the power to inspire others and demonstrating that everyone has a role to play in preventing suicide.
